The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, along with the Avila Institute of Gerontology, honored three individuals with the Flos Carmeli award for their excellence and dedication to the mission of Venerable Mary Angeline Teresa McCrory, O.Carm., Foundress of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. “Flos Carmeli,” meaning “Flower of Carmel,” is an award that is given to individuals chosen for their commitment and enthusiasm for living out and spreading the Carmelite mission. The 2020 Flos Carmeli celebration took place on March 9 at St. Teresa’s Motherhouse in Germantown, NY.
...Mary Fetick is the 2019 Flos Carmeli Award recipient for Compassion. Mary’s job as Activity Director for six years and as Mission Effectiveness Director for three years are based on her deep faith. She formerly worked at American Airlines for twenty years and then at St. Margaret Hall for four and a half years. She plans all the special events and activities, trains and organizes volunteers, and oversees the Pastoral Care Department.
