The Zone Weekly with paraDocs

With a new school year approaching, you might be feeling anxious about the changes of practice within your community or even your own family. This year will be very different from anything we’ve known before.

In Volume 20 of this guest series, Psychotherapist, Dr. Francis L. Battisti and Nutritionist, Dr. Helen Battisti address the impact of schools re-opening. Learn why making a fall resolution may enhance your back-to-school adjustment, even in these challenging times.

For over 10 years, they have worked closely with us on aging concerns and have presented many webinars and in-person workshops. Their newsletter, The Zone, is a weekly mental health and nutrition tip sheet during times of change.

As we start to prepare for the upcoming months, it is time to think about our focus from now until the end of the year.  An important event occurring at this time is the re-opening of our community’s schools.  Realizing that only some of our readers will be directly impacted by the school’s opening, we all have a stake in how this process progresses.  As the uncertainty of what the coming months will look like continues, we may be experiencing feelings of frustration, excitement, sadness and wondering what we can do to ensure that we are prepared. With all new beginnings, success can be measured in different ways.

This mix of emotions can either propel us to get ready for whatever lies ahead or hold us back.  Now is a great time to reaffirm our commitment to our work, our family and to our community. Clarifying our motivation to assist our communities with school openings, and why this is important will enhance your experience and performance.
