NEW NRRO Cosponsored Webinar – Making the Most of the Days We Have

by Avila Institute Staff

March 28, 2023

The new NRRO cosponsored webinar "Darting About as Sparks through Stubble”: Making the Most of the Days We Have  is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 pm ET. It will be presented by Mercedes McCann, RSM, Ph.D.
View/download flyer and registration directions.

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

The title of this webinar is taken from a Scripture reading for the feast of All Souls (Wis 3:7). Sparks have the potential to ignite. They may reignite a fire that is being extinguished, albeit in a different way, or ignite a new fire from the old. We are all called to tend the fires within ourselves and in one another. This presentation will examine the sparks that are darting about as we experience our aging and how they might help us live more fully into our future.

Caregivers of every stripe, whether those in religious community leadership, caregivers in eldercare homes, family members, or friends, can ignite a spark in others in simple ways such as a deep listening ear, the holding of a hand, the empathetic response or – and this may be most important – simple presence. Join us as we discuss how we can, as Saint Paul wrote, “fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Tim 1:6).

REGISTRATION
This NRRO cosponsored webinar is designed for individual members of Congregations as well as community leadership and healthcare providers.
This webinar is FREE for congregational members and their staff.
Please contact us for more information.

It is $35.00 for all other registrants.
