Join audiologist Dr. Juliëtte Sterkens, with the non-profit Hearing Loss Association of America. She will explain how to get the hearing care services that will ensure you will get the most out of your hearing aids. Learn about the problems with hearing loss and hearing aids, how to find the right hearing aid provider, worthwhile hearing aid features and what to do when hearing aids alone are not enough. You will receive a hearing aid buying guide at the end of the session to help you obtain the most cost-effective solution for your hearing issues with the greatest benefit and satisfaction.

Juliette Sterkens, AuD

Juliette Sterkens is a retired audiologist with over 30 years of experience in the field of audiology, hearing aid technology and communication counseling. Her experience with helping religious deal with hearing loss includes providing the personalized hearing care for many of the women religious of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother in Oshkosh, WI for nearly 25 years, and helping the nursing staff manage the hearing aids, their use, care and daily maintenance. She holds a degree in Speech Pathology from the Revalidatie Academie in Heerlen, the Netherlands and a Professional Doctorate in Audiology. She is currently on her “encore career” as the Hearing loss Association of America National Hearing Loop Advocate. For her advocacy efforts she has received numerous awards including the Wisconsin Audiologist of the Year, the American Academy of Audiology Presidential Award and the Humanitarian of the Year Award from her Alma Mater, the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ.
