    Biting, spitting, and catastrophic reaction can be particularly difficult for caregivers, as any aggressive behavior will naturally spark either fight or flight reactions. Panic that results from aggressive behaviors like these triggers long-term health decline of both patients and caregivers. This in-service helps caregivers to understand why these challenging behaviors happen and how they are an attempt to communicate something deeper. They will learn how to deal with these behaviors the moment they happen and how to proactively reduce them with six interventions:

    • Doll therapy
    • Relaxation music
    • Diversion
    • Hand massage and aromatherapy
    • General environment modification
    • Bedroom modification
