In-Service Topic "ADL Strategies for Challenging Behaviors"
Few things cause more stress for residents and caregivers than ADLs when there are challenging behaviors. Providing quality care in a timely manner is a major struggle. This in-service provides practical, effective strategies for caregivers. • Why novelty, loss of control, and social isolation contribute to behaviors during ADLs
    • Strategies for avoiding novelty, giving residents some control, and reducing social loss

    • Support strategies during awakening, maintaining personal hygiene, dressing, dining, toileting, exercising, and preparing for bedtime
