The October Long-term Care Conference is held annually at St. Teresa’s Motherhouse in Germantown, NY over two and half days. The Avila Institute brings in expert speakers to discuss the most current trends and topics in long-term care and gerontology which include but not limited to: person-centered care, palliative care, ethics, mission, spiritual care, dementia, resident care, behavior management and legal and regulatory changes.

The Department may subswquently notify the provider that a particular course or courses is/are acceptable. This conditional approval is in effect until the Department makes a final determination to approve or deny the provider application.
