Sr. Lois has worked as a registered nurse for over thirty five years serving the mission of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. She received a BSN at Mount St. Joseph College in Cincinnati Ohio. Sr. Lois has held many nursing positions in long term care in the areas of staff education, management and supervision, restorative nursing, infection control and MDS coordinator. She obtained a certificate in Religious Formation at the Institute of Religious Formation at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago Illinois. She currently works as the Director of Postulants and Temporary Vowed Sisters for her community.
She has assisted teaching the Palliative Care training program developed by the Avila Institute as well as teaching other clinical topics. She also enjoys presenting on spiritual topics to various groups, especially topics in Carmelite spirituality.
